Portugal twenty years behind (2)

According to a report of the European Union (mentioned in a earlier post) Portugal stays 20 years behind on the rest in innovation. In case Portugal keeps the rhythm, what is according the report very weak, the stay 20 years behind and will be passed by other new states. The report continues by saying that:
Portugal has a series of problems, specially in coordination, it is all to fragmented, to much different organizations with to many diffracted goals. (the main problem of Portugals way of governing, IMHO). If they create a fund or organisation in this area they are more known for their 'Fanfarras' and party's then for their results.

Portugal twenty years behind (1)

Here in Portugal a polemica is started around a player of Benfica. This Russian player who is now on the bench and suspended because of the interview he gave, to a russian newspaper. In this interview he said that:
Lisboa is like a big country village. Where the children can't play on the street. And that Portugal is 20 years behind, even on Rusland.

Important to notice that the way he said it (like the amount of bad things) depends on the newspaper you read here.
According to him, the children even look television in playgrounds.

The biggest problem is that most what he said about this subjects are true. He even is supported bij a report of the European Union.

Iberdrola buys shares EDP (2)

What is all the confuse about Iberdrola buying shares of EDP. Iberdrola wants as shareholder a piece of the action. Meaning a post in the board of advice, like all other shareholders with more then 2%. The problem is that they are Spanish. Every Portuguese now thinks that they are bought by the Spanish and that highly valuable secret information comes in the hands of those 'awfully' neighbors.

EDP is a semi-governmental electric power supplier in Portugal. Not really big, nothing to say in the European Market but Portuguese. The same is counts for PT, it is a very nice company for the Portuguese market and the old colonies. Not more. Sell them I say!

What did EDP en PT do on the stockmarket. Okay 1 euro in 1995 is now 3,5 euro. But what did the same Spanish companies do. I don't now the figures but I think it is more. Sell those 30% (shares in the hands of the government), it will be obrigatorio (to use a Portuguese word) somewhere in near future (freemarket principal within EU). If you wait till the moment is there EDP will be sold for 1 euro the share instead!!! And then Portugal loses more. No patriotism saves the world.

Iberdrola buys shares EDP

Iberdrola is Spanish. And Spanish means bad. Spanish companies make the Portugueses their slaves, like the dutch do also. But hey, what are we choosing from.

A portugues boss uses their employers more as slave. He pays officialy 350 euro each month, and yes he gives 150 euro black. But he and you pay taxes on the 350 euro. So when something happenes the benefits is measured from the 350, the pensions are measured from 350.

A Spanisch boss pays their employers the double. Ponto Final.

Third earthquake in three days

Pela terceira vez em três dias, a terra voltou a tremer. Portugal is shaken for the third time in three days. Three earthquake almost all with the same altitude shaked the mainland of Portugal. Btw they where all for in the sea. But while Portugal also be shaken next Sunday when we have the first round for the presidential elections. Lets wait and see.
All signs give a victory to Cavaco Silva with the old Soares as runner-up. Big chance we have to vote for a second round.

But what is really in the mind of the Portuguese on the street. Where are the really scared about?
